Summary

Commissioned by Austen and Butta United, this film shows the installation and operation of Australia’s first longwall mining operation at Invincible Colliery in New South Wales. The film opens with an overview of the equipment and its operation on the surface, before we see it transported underground, installed and in operation cutting coal.

Special Notes/Achievements

This is the twelfth of fifteen films in the Fitzgerald Collection.
