Summary
Accompanied by his daughters, former resident Greg James travels back to the remote and now abandoned township of Mt Mulligan in Far North Queensland. Founded in 1910, Mt Mulligan was the remotest colliery in Queensland. In 1921 it was the site of Queensland’s worst mining disaster. This short documentary reveals the harsh early living conditions, such as tents and humpies, the layout of the town, sporting and community activities as well as the location of the tunnel mouth on the mountain.
