Summary
A newsreel story profiling the manufacturing of cars at the Holden factory in Adelaide, South Australia. The film shows workers building passengers cars on the assembly line, including pressing the panels, assembly and soldering, washing, painting and polishing, and inserting the windows. A trainload of car bodies is transported to another state for further assembly. The film highlights how much of the work is done by ‘new Australians’.
