The role specialist staff like administration and communications play in unions is crucial and our staff are increasingly required to adapt to new technologies and navigate change as the world of work becomes more complex.
To build the skills that help drive union growth, the ATUI has partnered with RMIT Online to offer discounted places for affiliates in RMIT Future Skills short courses.
These courses are designed to enhance union capacities and capabilities, ensuring our staff are well-prepared to meet the challenges they face.
Participants can choose from dozens of courses across a range of topics, durations, and commencement dates at a 10% discount on the advertised price. Some modules like customer experience, strategy and design are ideal for administration staff. While others, like content and social media marketing, support skills development for our comms team. Other modules focus on leadership and management skills and are suitable for elected officials.
Participants who successfully complete these courses will be awarded an RMIT micro-credential and digital badge. When taken in combination with other specific Future Skills short courses, these courses are eligible for credit into certain RMIT degree programs, subject to entry requirements.
