Political engagement is an essential campaign tactic. Knowing who to talk to and how to get a meeting is just the start. Helping a politician understand how their interests can be served by getting on board with your agenda is key.

Politics is about relationships and power. Just like organising. Knowing who you need to persuade is critical to being successful.

This course will cover everything from the basics like navigating Parliament House, preparing your pitch to researching your audience and choosing your delegation. Participants are encouraged to bring their own real-life campaigns to work on. There will also be plenty of “open space” for questions and discussion.

This course is offered in four blocks of one-day training over four consecutive weeks via online (zoom).
