About this course:
The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) is a nationally accredited program, which equips you with a practical WHS tool kit, based on a proactive and preventative approach to workplace health and safety from a union perspective.
Whether you’re a union trainer delivering WHS training, an Official or Organiser involved with WHS issues, or a Health and Safety Representative, you will gain a formal qualification that builds your WHS knowledge base, and provides you practical ways to apply WHS legislation and policy-making in your workplace.
Gain the skills and confidence to work co-operatively on consultative committees, and representing workers’ interests in negotiations with employers all the way up to the enterprise level.
This course is offered in five blocks of three-day training (over a six month period) in person in Melbourne or online (zoom) plus five Q&A sessions at three weeks post each training via online (zoom).

The Q&A sessions are only online. Participants with active enrolments have an open invitation to join Q&A sessions. The sessions can be used to complete assessments or attend for a short period of time with the knowledge that you will be able to seek clarification on your assessment work.
